Why playing poker online is a great alternative to casino?

Getting involved in online poker games is a wonderful way of enabling you to play a great card game in the privacy of your own home. There are so many tremendous advantages to playing these poker games via the internet. First of all, it is convenient in that you do not have to drive a long distance or even short distance to a gaming facility as you will most likely only need to walk into the other room where your computer is set up. A second reason why online poker games are a great way to enjoy your card games is that the stakes may sometimes be a bit lower than if you were to proceed to gamble at a physical establishment. A third advantage of playing poker games online is that concentration is more readily available as you are not playing poker in a distracting atmosphere where other players are sitting to the left and right of you in sometimes overly close quarters. A fourth and important advantage to playing poker online is that you can play this fun game 24 hours a day, 7 days a week without ever having to leave the comfort of your own home. Lastly, as gaming tables at casino establishments can sometimes be largely filled up, by playing online poker you will ultimately eliminate the wait that often exists at gaming tables in casinos.

Convenience for the seasoned or beginner poker player is one of the many advantages of playing online poker. Even though gaming institutions are popping up in more and more places these days, it is still likely that you will have to drive a good distance to reach a casino. As a number of casinos will usually have ample parking, there will still be those instances where you will have to look around for awhile for a parking spot and sometimes even pay for your parking while you are inside the casino. By playing poker online at home you are able to completely disregard the notion of driving anywhere at all and can use your time more wisely as opposed to wasting it by driving to and from the gaming facility. Another plus with not having to drive to a gaming establishment is that you will save money on gasoline. Online poker is definitely for the convenience-lover.

Lower stakes in the poker game are also an advantage of playing poker in an online setting. As individuals that play poker online are often beginners and are trying to learn the ins and outs of the game, low stakes poker games online make this type of table game a great place in which to learn without losing large amounts of money. In order to find the websites offering low stakes poker online, simply do a general search using a phrase such as “low stakes poker online” or “poker games online low stakes” and you will be met with a number of poker websites from which to choose the one you like best. Just be sure to thoroughly review the site prior to playing for safety reasons to make sure it is legitimate.

A third advantage of playing the game of poker online is that concentration will be more focused and centered in the comfort of your own home. Sometimes when you are playing poker table games at a casino, or any type of table games for that matter, other players can be distracting and almost intrusive. With online poker, you are able to concentrate better thereby increasing your chances of winning. When people are unable to concentrate, they tend to make silly moves thereby losing more money than they might have had they been able to concentrate. Playing poker online enables you to be able to concentrate on the game at hand and eliminates any outside distractions that may be present within a casino setting.

Having the availability of playing online poker 24 hours a day, 7 days a week is another wonderful advantage of playing a poker game in this manner. This is wonderful for the individual who likes to wait until later at night when the house is quiet and work is done for the day when he/she can sit down in front of the computer and enjoy a game or two of online poker. It doesn’t matter what time of day it is as you are sure to find an online poker game in progress. Availability is a beneficial advantage to the poker game lover.

Finally, playing online poker is a great way to ensure your place at a virtual gaming table. How many times have you driven to your local casino, or in some instances not so local casino, and found that you had to wait an unimaginable amount of time to secure a spot at a card table that was within your budget? My guess is quite a few of you have experienced this type of waiting game. By utilizing the availability of online poker websites you will be able to find a place at one of their virtual tables and no longer will you need to wait in line to enjoy some poker action. This may also help you to relax as sometimes waiting in lines can cause unnecessary anxiety and aggravation.

These are just a few reasons why playing poker online is a great alternative to playing this game at a casino in your area. Not only is online poker convenient but it also allows you to concentrate on your game and increase your winnings. Additionally, it allows you to play this entertaining game for lower sums of money, thereby limiting any potential extreme losses. Also, you will never have to wait in a smoky, crowded casino area again looking for a table spot to open up. After hearing about all of the aforementioned reasons, why not give online poker a try and see for yourself all of the wonderful things that it has to offer. Chances are you will not be disappointed.

Learning how to play blackjack

Money, Money, Money

One of the main reasons that people play blackjack is because it's fun.  Another reason could be for financial gain.  If this is your reason, you will need some expertise in this field.  The best way to win at blackjack is to know the ins and outs of the game.  Once you know the strategies of blackjack, you will win money instead of losing it.  Playing blackjack can be a good way to earn extra income on a regular basis.  Although, the only way to accomplish this is to master the blackjack techniques.  Everybody wants some extra pocket change.  Learning how to play blackjack can help you put that extra money in your pocket.  If you take the time to learn the game and its strategies, and choose where and when to play, there is no reason why you can't use your winnings to enjoy the finer things in life.

Entertainment

Another reason to learn how to play blackjack is entertainment.  There are people who play blackjack as a hobby; they use the game as a form of entertainment to occupy their leisure time.  Blackjack can be a very challenging game, but like anything else, the best way and usually the only way to improve your skills are to practice.  You can improve your skills two ways.  First, learn as much about the game as possible.  Second, challenge yourself continually. By following these rules, consistent winnings are just around the corner.  Some of the benefits of playing blackjack on a regular basis, and learning the strategies, are improving your reasoning and calculating skills.  The extra money you make will just be a bonus.  That's not too bad for a hobby.

What's More Fun, Winning or Losing?

Last but not least, the final reason to step up your blackjack playing abilities is because winning is much more fun than losing.  What could be more satisfying than leaving the casino with your pockets full of their money?  When you become an expert in blackjack strategies, you will enjoy the feeling of knowing that you beat the casinos at their own game.  It will take a lot of hard work and diligence to become a blackjack expert.  If you apply yourself, the rewards you receive will outweigh your efforts to learn tenfold.

There are many more reasons why people play blackjack.  We don't need to touch on all of them.  The reasons stated above should be enough to motivate you to be the best that you can be, to show the casinos they can be beaten.  There are many ways to make money, none of them are easy, some of them are fun. Blackjack is a great way to combine entertainment and money making. Good luck.

How to buy a quality set of Poker chips?

Complete chip sets should be purchased with a few things in mind:  How many chips do you need? How much can you afford to pay for your chipset and how many players will be using the chips in a game. As with most things, you pay for quality and the best advice is to buy the highest quality you can afford.  It is rare to be sorry that you opted for a higher line of goods so buy the best your budget allows.

A good rule of thumb for quantity follows:

3-4 Players 300 chipset is usually enough

4-6 Players 400-500 chipset will suffice

6-8 Players 500-650 chipset is required

8-10+ Players 1000+ chips depending on numbers

The above guide is a suggested number only. Remember that you cannot really have too many chips, only too few so buy all you can afford. Many chip sellers maintain an open stock of chips so you can purchase more as you need them.

Buying a quality set of Poker chips isn't cheap but if you're buying a full set of chips (300, 500 or 1,000), the price typically includes an aluminum carrying case, one or two decks of cards, five dice, and sometimes a dealer button.  At online stores, a set of 300 11.5-gram composite, two-color chips goes for $75 or more, depending on the style. A similar set of 300 real clay chips will cost about $25 to $30 more.  Three-color chips are more expensive.

Information About Online Poker Tournament

Poker to me has always been a little bit of luck and a whole lot of information.  An Online Poker Tournament has been proven achievable but the first disadvantage I see is my “whole lot of information” is going to be next to nil.

I’m only going to see other players and myself as caricatures on my screen.  Facial expressions, hand gestures, body motions will all be absent, as well as eye squinting, blinking or twitching – those ‘giveaways’ on TV and why many use sunglasses.  Add to this the screen names: how do I know that Tiny Tina isn’t some card shark from Vegas alluding to be female and harmless?

I’m going to have to compensate for this not-so-small handicap.  Basically anybody’s poker actions are six -- whether you play online or off… betting, folding, calling, raising, re-raising, or check-raising.  So that’s a given.  My observations are going to fall in the realm of a good site selection, a game selection (there are many tables), careful note-taking and money management.

And while all players are indeed in caricature-form, they still have behavior that can be noted.  I can put their screen names under one of two lists: “tight players” or “loose players”.  It will help to observe a few hands and label them before I decide to sit in.  Too many tight players and I might look at another table.

Tight players are strong opponents.  Even as a novice they will fold a poor deal and play a good one.  When they raise, more often than not they have the cards to back it up with.  I think it would benefit me to keep them to my right – that way, I get to act after they do.  Loose players are often called ‘maniacs’ because they love to bet and raise with very little in hand to back it up.

As I see it, they are best if kept to my left in playing online poker.  Advantages are: I get to see how the other players react to his/her betting before it’s my turn.  And, at times if I check to the maniac who bets of course, this allows everyone else to call before I raise the bet and collect the additional monies. Get it?

Of course a table can also be tight or loose.  Ideally I believe a loose table is better and the first sign of this would be how many players see the flop; the more the better – if many are playing to the flop, the pots are healthier.  I read where 30% of the table playing all the way to the flop is a good measure.  Anything less is not worthwhile sitting in.

So, it’s time now to choose a fictitious name and sign up for the best poker school where I can (as they say) become a professional in a matter of months rather than years by playing the game with “fun” money until I declare I am ready for a real investment.

Are you aiming for a poker tournament?  If so, why not follow me as I write future Articles on this issue.  Also share what you have learned, I’d be happy to hear from you and include your observations.

Learning the technique of blackjack card counting

Blackjack card counting is an advanced technique to win on blackjack. A player must first learn the basic strategies of blackjack before learning “counting”. By learning the technique of counting you will have the odds with you.

The basic concept of blackjack counting is that a deck filled with 10s and aces will be to your advantage. While the deck of the dealer is filled with smaller cards but is to the dealer’s advantage. Simply put, when the deck is in your favor bet to the maximum, when it’s with the dealer’s bet minimum.

This is because a deck filled with 10 increases the chance of the dealer getting bust. You on the other hand can just opt to stand. In an opposite manner, a deck filled with smaller cards makes the dealers chance to bust less. If you know the deck is filled with 10s or smaller cards, this can give you the advantage of knowing what strategy to use.

The dealer must then always hit until having a soft 17. To hit with a hand of 10 & 6 and knowing the deck is filled with 10s is a bad idea.

If the deck is filled with aces, there is high chance that you’ll hit blackjack. When the player has blackjack, the pay off odds are 3:2. The dealer will only win on the other hand if he also gets a blackjack. That’s why a deck filled with aces is always to the player’s advantage.

Blackjack counting is not done by memorizing each card that has come out of a 6 deck shoe of cards. If you are able to do that, I'd be in awe: you should be in the world records book or maybe even the loony bin.

Blackjack card counting is done by assigning the different card numbers with different point values. Always remember to pick a system that is easy to remember. This will cause fewer mistakes and you will lose less money.

As stated above, you will assign a point value for each card and you will have to add the value of the cards that have come out. This is called the running count. Based on the plus/minus strategy, here are the values assigned.

2, 3, 4, 5, 6 = +1;
7, 8, 9 = 0;
10, J, Q, K, Ace = -1

To illustrate this more clearly:
The first card dealt is an ace, so we start by having -1. Then 6 is the next card dealt so we add 1. This makes the run count back to zero. Then a 3 and 4 follows, making the run count now 2.

After figuring the run count, you can try to figure the true count. You take the running count you have and divide it with the number of decks remaining from the shoe.

The true counts tell you the appropriate bet size and you can base your strategy from there. Good luck!

Popular Alabama casinos

Alabama is a southern state located in “the Heart of Dixie”, with a rich history dating back to the Civil War. It is known for its Magnolia trees, lush gardens, grand old historic homes, and southern hospitality. Alabama, with a population of over 4,500,000, is adjacent to Georgia, Mississippi, and Florida. The capital of Alabama is Montgomery, which was the first capital of the Confederacy.

Alabama casinos are for the most part bingo casinos, which are run by Native Americans. Casinos can only be run on Native American land, since there is no legalized gambling as such in the state of Alabama. The revenue from the Alabama casinos, as a result, is not taxed by the state of Alabama, since Native American tribes own them. The majority of gambling in Alabama can be found at the horse racing tracks and dog races, in addition to a few slot machines, video gambling machines, and pull-tab cards at these locations.

There are three Alabama casinos, all located within 20 minutes from the capital of Montgomery, that do a thriving business. The Creek Entertainment Center in Atmore is open for gambling Monday through Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 12 Midnight, and Friday and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m. There are 1,000 bingo seats for live games, 200 electronic bingo machines, a number of pull-tab card selections, and one restaurant at the Creek Entertainment Center. The largest of the three Alabama casinos is the Tallapoosa Entertainment Center in Montgomery. The Tallapoosa is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week for casino gambling. There are 480 electronic bingo seats in 21,000 square feet of gaming space, with a full bar and grill for added convenience. The list of Alabama casinos also includes the Riverside Entertainment Center, located in Wetumpka, which is run by Native Americans as well. The Riverside casino is open 24 hours a day, Monday through Saturday, from 12:00 Noon to closing time, and Sunday, from 1:00 p.m. to closing time. This Alabama casino has 16,000 square feet of gambling area, a large selection of over 530 slot machines, and an onsite restaurant.

Alabama could profit enormously from having casinos located along the Gulf Coast, both onshore and on riverboats. This would encourage competition between Alabama and its neighboring state, Mississippi. The revenue to be gained from legalizing Alabama casinos and the boost it would provide to the economy may hopefully spur the state government to open Alabama to legalized gambling in the near future.

Learning five-card stud

At one time 5-card stud was the most popular poker game being dealt. It was started in New Orleans and moved up the Mississippi on the steamboats and moved out west with the gold rush and the end of the Civil War. The game is rather simple to play and does entail some bluffing, as the hand possibilities are easy to read. It is played with one card dealt face down and four cards dealt face up. The betting starts after the first two cards are dealt and continues after each of the other three are dealt. This game is the game that is played in the movie Cincinnati Kid.

Now days the online casinos offer it less and less.  Some Live casinos will still set a table on certain days or on special days.  The game is becoming harder to find and many new players to poker have never played the game.  The best starting hand is a pair of Aces or any other high pair.  Pairs of higher value do have a tendency to hold up in this game. Three of a kind is a monster hand and any hand bigger than that would be a super monster.  Five-card draw poker replaced this game in popularity, as it allowed more betting and more gambling as each player got to see more cards to make a hand.  Lack of betting possibilities is what helped to kill off 5-card stud.   Seven-card stud finally replaced both in most card rooms and this game is still one of the casino favorites.

There is a romance about 5-card stud and it was favored in the movies for a long time as it is relatively easy to understand and follow the action as a hand is played out.

Conclusions

Five-card stud is a fine game for learning to play poker and hand values. The lack of complications makes it an easy game to quickly learn and play. The other feature of this stud game is the art of the bluff.  Bluffing is part of poker and stud is a game that a good bluffer will do well at against other players at the table. If you do not have a pair at the end of the five cards it is very hard to call a large bet with just an ace high.  Four cards to a flush showing is tough to call without a pair.

The most popular Las Vegas casinos

Las Vegas is undoubtedly the casino capital of the United States, if not the whole world. In every square inch of Las Vegas, you will find a casino. They are so many casinos in fact that visitors in Las Vegas do not even get to visit all of them.

Bellagio, is one of the first-class hotel casinos that you should not miss when going to Las Vegas. Operated by the MGM Mirage, Bellagio features 3982 rooms and suites. In addition to its casinos, this gigantic megaresort also features a theater, the O Theater, some lounges and bars such as the Fontana Bar, Allegro Bars and the Nectar Bar.

It also boastsgreat dining venues such as the Picasso, Prime Steakhouse, Le Cirque, Sensi, Osteria del Circo and MICHAEL MINA and six outdoor pools and a spa. One of the main attractions of the Bellagio is its Fountains, an eight acre lake that provides stunning views at night. There is also the Conservatory and the Botanical Gardens as well as the Dale Chihuly glass sculpture.

Buffalo Bill’s, which is located in the Primm Valley, is 30 minutes away from the Interstate. This hotel-casino has 1,242 rooms including the suites that are used for wedding packages. Some rooms even have wet bars and Jacuzzi tubs. Among the dining sites that Bufallo Bill’s offers are the Baja Bar & Grill, Wagon Master Coffee Shop, La Salsa Mexican Grille, Miss Ashley's Buffet, and Frisella's Roastery.

The hotel casino also has a huge entertainment venue called the Star of the Desert Arena, which has 6000 seats. This is where concerts and other shows are held. In addition to this, Bufallo Bill’s also has a movie theater and comedy bar, where tourists can relax and wile the night away. One of the main attractions that this hotel-casino provides is the Desperado rollercoaster as well as the Turbo Drop Thrill ride.

Circus Circus sits in South Las Vegas. This is the first themed resort in the city, which is operated by the Mandalay Resort Group. It has 3770 rooms, some of which have video check-out counters. Dining venues in the hotel include the The Steak House, Stivali Italian Ristorante, Blue Iguana Las Vegas, and The Pink Pony. Part of the attraction in Circus Circus is the AdventureDome indoor theme park and the circus shows in the Big Top.

Another big thing in Las Vegas is the Excalibur hotel which is also nestled in the South. Another project of the Mandalay Resort Group, Excalibur has 4008 rooms all in all. Because of its King Arthur time theme, restaurants in Excalibur are named after places and people in King Arthur’s court such as the The Steakhouse at Camelot, The Camelot, Sir Galahad's Prime Rib House, and the Round Table Buffet. There are also frequent dinner shows and comedy acts in their comedy bars. In keeping with their theme, the casinos are transformed into a Renaissance Faire complete with jugglers, magicians and troubadours.

The Luxor is actually named after a place in Egypt, which is an tourist destination. Its building is topped with the brightest beams of light in the whole of Las Vegas. In fact, it can actually be seen when you are riding the space shuttle. It has 4408 rooms, which are divided into the Pyramid and in towers. Like the Excalibur, the names of the restaurants in the Luxor also have Egyptian flavors to them. Among the restaurants that you should try when visiting there are the Sacred Sea Room, Papyrus, Nile Deli, Hamada's, and of course the Isis.

The security issues facing people who go online casino gambling

Casino Gambling, ever since it has been legislated, has become even more popular all over the world. With the growth in the number of gambling sites, Online Casino Gambling will sure become one of the favorite places in the web, as far as gamblers are concerned.

We are all aware about the risks that we are taking when it comes to Casino Gambling. There's the probability that we will lose money, and all the succeeding consequences resulting from that. But the most basic of all the considerations a gambler would have to note is the security of the casino where they would be betting their money.

Going casino gambling involves a lot of security issues, aside from entrusting your money to the cashier. Most casinos, if not all, would require that you give them your name, address, credit card numbers, and other private information. We are all aware that these things could be used by some people to wreak havoc into our lives.

But in all fairness to the casinos, they have proven that the security features they employ makes their customers and visitors feel safer than ever to go casino gambling. There are several innovations that have been made. Most casinos have set-up video cameras to monitor each and every movement around a particular game table. This is of course accompanied by a team of surveillance personnel that constantly keeps their eyes focused on any mischievous actions from both the staff and customers. On-floor security officers are always on the look out for trouble. This also includes officers in civilian clothes.

Now, since we all know that online casino gambling is becoming a popular alternative to the traditional physical casino in Nevada, it is reasonable to ask about security issues regarding online gambling.

Some of the security issues facing people who go online casino gambling is, of course, the issue of whether their identities would remain a secret. This is one of the major concerns for online gamblers. Just like in the land-based casino, before you could enter a site offering online gambling, certain information would be needed in order for you to play. Information that are basically the same as the ones that they ask for in the Bellagio or Caesar's Palace. Since we all know that these information may be used by spammers, at the very least, we should take note of whether a site's security firewall is encrypted with at least a 128-bit SSL. The higher the bit of the encryption, the safer of course. This would ensure players that the site they are playing in is not vulnerable to hackers who want to steal credit card information and the like.

The next security issue that players must be aware of are the privacy policies employed by the web site they are playing at. Before a gambler should decide to enter a site, the privacy policy of that site should first be read. One has to make sure that all the text are easy to understand. Also, the policy should not contain any ambiguities. Although some policies may take a little of your time to read, doing so carefully, and looking for probable loopholes would ensure that your online casino gambling would be safer.

Finally, to ensure that the interests of both parties will be guaranteed, try to search for a site that offers a record of financial transactions before going casino gambling on that site. This would minimize the occurrence of problems that might potentially arise while playing online casino gambling. Any questions regarding financial transactions made would be easy to answer if a record of all the transactions done are readily available for reviewing. Just make sure that this is protected by SSL encryption as well.

How to calculate pot odds?

Calculating outs (the number of cards that could improve your hand) and pot odds (ratio of the money in the pot versus the amount required to make your next call) is often used as a basis for a Texas Holdem Poker player on whether to draw and try to make their hand.

However this in my opinion should not be the sole basis of your decision on whether you should draw for another card.

You also have to decide on whether the hand that you are trying to hit will win you the pot or not.

How to calculate pot odds:

In this example, if the current pot contains $80, and the amount required at the next call is $20, the pot is laying you odds of $80 to $20 or 4 to 1.

As long as your odds of making the best hand are 4 to 1 or better than making the call is the right move.  A hand that is 4 to 1 means that you will hit once in every 5 tries.  You will hit the draw 20 percent of the time.

This next example takes into account calculating pot odds and outs.

Assume that your hole cards are a six and a seven (for this example suits do not matter) and the flop came down 8-9-3.

In order to complete your hand you need a 5 or 10.  You have eight outs – 4-5’s and 4-10’s.  Multiply your outs (8) by 4 and you get 32.  You have a 32 percent chance of making your hand.  If there was only one card left to draw you would multiply by two.

A 32 percent chance of making your hand means you have a 68 percent chance of NOT making your hand.  This is roughly 2 to 1 that you won’t make the hand.  So, as long as the pot contains $2 for every $1 that you have to call, it is worth going after your straight.

Doing these quick calculations and interpreting them can be very difficult and confusing for a beginner (and many advanced players as well!).  But I would recommend that you at least be able to quickly calculate your outs to give you an idea of just how likely you are to make your hand.

Then decide if that hand will win the pot for you or not.

The basics of roulette gambling

For the novice gambler, roulette gambling seems like a very difficult task to learn. It is true that learning the strategies used by pros can take years of experience to master, but you can find many sources online that outline the basics of roulette gambling. Just keep in mind that it takes a while to become a master gambler and to pace yourself.

Basically, you use chips to place your bets on a variety of number and colors on the roulette table. The Croupier (dealer) spins the wheel and a number and color is chosen. As the wheel spins, a small ball rolls around the wheel and lands on a destination. This is just an example of the basics of roulette gambling.

Roulette gambling can be as simple as placing a bet and watching the wheel spin. Winning in roulette gambling is a combination of strategy, odds and luck. You will not win every round; knowing the odds of the game can greatly influence your success in roulette gambling. Practice does not necessarily make perfect in roulette, although the more you play and the more experienced you become, the better you will be at gauging the odds.

You can always try roulette gambling at an online venue to begin with. Many websites offer free roulette gambling and this might be a great way to learn the game and test your abilities. As you feel more comfortable with the game, you may decide to play at a casino or at an online venue that is pay-to-play. Roulette can be a fun and exciting game with the potential for great payouts.

Learn more about online casino gambling

I have been participating in online casino gambling since its inception. It began right around the time that the Internet became a household fixture.  Like all gamblers, I've had some great sessions that I'll remember for a long time.  You know what I mean, the dealer is busting left and right, I'm drawing five-card 21s, and the stack of chips in front of me gets bigger and bigger.

But I've also had horrible sessions where the opposite happened and nothing went my way.  It's all part of the game.  It's a roller coaster ride that you better be prepared for mentally. The key to long-term success in online casino gambling is to try to smooth out the peaks and valleys in order to gain some consistency.  Sometimes a betting system can really help out. Now a lot of know what all gamblers might say that he thinks systems are for amateurs. But you'd be doing yourself a huge disservice by engaging in online casino gambling without going in with some sort of game plan first. You see, online casino gambling differs from traditional gaming establishments in a very important way, many times they offer better odds or give you financial incentives just to draw you in as a player. As a gambler, you know that even the slightest variation in odds will affect basic playing strategies for games such as blackjack and Jacks or Better video poker.

Because so many of these gambling sites offer incentives you don't really need to put as much to come out ahead.  Taking these factors into consideration means that for online casino gambling, you can chuck everything you thought you knew about blackjack, slots, roulette, poker, and craps out the window and adapt an entirely different game plan.

To develop a sound betting strategy you will need to consult credible reference materials. You can find excellent books and on the Internet that will benefit you greatly.  The good news is there are enough math and computer wizards interested in blackjack and other games that we're in no danger of running out of strategy guides tailored to online casino gambling.

He sure to make sure whatever system you are looking at that they author, or creator of that system, it is an experienced gambler himself and has shown the system to be credible. What I've discovered is that many of these guys are making money from selling their systems rather than using their own advice to win at online casino gambling. That should give you some idea of how "valuable" their systems really are!  Some people make all the money writing about things as opposed to actually doing them.  These are the types of people you want to avoid.

But if you dig in and do some checking, you'll find that there are a few choice strategy guides out there that are quite effective at helping people earn a fairly steady income from online casino gambling.  A great place to look for advice and resources are Internet forums where gamblers gather. Usually, at least one member of the forum has tested a particular strategy guide and would be more than happy to give you an honest review of the system.  Once you find a winner, you will no doubt you much better about your chances for success in online casino gambling.

How to play with casino slot machines?

Casino slot machines easily account for nearly 70% of yearly casino income. Beginning and expert gamblers alike enjoy the fun and excitement of pulling the lever at a casino slot machine. Casino slot machines require no special skills, nor are there any strategies for winning. Winning at a casino slot machine depends entirely upon luck. We have all heard stories of people striking it rich after depositing only a few coins. Those of us who have played casino slot machines also know how easy it is to keep feeding the machine because playing is so much fun.

You can play casino slot machines at various casinos across the country. For those in the Southeastern United States, Tunica, MS is a grand hotspot for casino slot machines. Every year, thousands of people from surrounding, non-gambling states pile onto charter buses to spend a night or weekend gambling their time away. Casino slot machines are one of the primary attractions. Other gamblers will agree that Las Vegas casinos are the best place to play slot machines. You will certainly find no shortage of casino slot machines in Vegas.

Casino slot machines were first thought to be a very effective means of occupying the bored wives of the high-rolling gamblers of Vegas. The first casino owners who came up with this brilliant plan certainly had no real idea of what was in store for casino slot machines. Little did they know that those menial machines would eventually account for millions of dollars in revenue each year. Slot machines are now a big business and appeal to people from all walks of life. Young people who are experiencing their first time in a casino to the seasoned gambler, everyone is certain to find a casino slot machine that is invigorating.

What should you do with casino bonuses?

When online casinos first came into the scene they had to think on a marketing idea that would attract more players. Online gambling was new and many players were unsure if they should deposit funds in what seemed like an unknown entity. The marketing ploy that most online casinos chose and is still being aggressively used today is the cash bonus.

Nothing charms a future client more than free cash, and online casino bonuses are just that. The most popular form of a bonus is the sign up or welcome bonus. The size of the bonus differs between the different casinos but it usually revolves between 100%-400% of the initial deposit. There is usually some kind of limit to the bonus so you can’t just deposit 100,000$ and hope to triple it up.

Naturally, as more and more casinos started offering cash bonuses a different kind of client emerged. A client whose sole interest was in the bonus itself and his goal was to cash out the bonus as soon as possible and than simply leave. This led up to the online casinos toughening their wagering requirements before allowing a withdrawal of the bonus.

The wagering requirement is a total amount you have the bet in order to be able to withdraw the bonus. The actual number varies from casino to casino but a typical number could be between 10x – 20x the amount of the bonus, so if you deposit 500$ and receive 500$ as a cash bonus your total betting must be above 5000$ to cash out the bonus. This may seem like a big amount but remember that if you are playing a game like blackjack using 5$ bets, you will win many hands (as well as losing) so the requirements can usually be cleared in matter of several hours.

Some casinos have blocked several games from qualifying as a method to clear bonuses. This usually includes the bets games that casino offers like a very liberal version of blackjack (for example a very small house edge single deck game) or some forms of video poker.

Online poker sites also offer sign up bonuses. The method to clear those bonuses is a little easier since you have to play a certain number of raked hands. Online poker bonuses are easy to clear even if you are a mediocre player and most online poker sites of periodical reload bonuses which allow poker players to enjoy other bonuses than the regular welcome bonus.

Bonuses are an attractive way to build up your bankroll if you are just starting out in the world of online gambling. Just remember to read the casino’s terms of agreement or consult your favorite online casino portal in order to be sure what the wagering requirements are so you will have a better idea what you are up against.

Some tips that players may choose to use them to win the blackjack

Today, blackjack seems to be one of the most popular card games. This is because playing blackjack is so easy to learn and play. Unlike poker, blackjack does not have any combinations to remember.

In blackjack, the object of the game is to get the sum of the two cards close to 21. When a person gets cards that are over 21, he or she loses the game.

Normally, a player receives two cards. After the players see their cards, they have to decide whether they would hit or stand. When a person says “stand,” this means the player thinks he or she is closer to 21 already. When a player says “hit,” this means that he or she still needs additional cards just to get close to 21.

Players can draw as many cards as they want until they feel they are close to 21 already. A player who is nearer to 21 wins.

However, there are people who have devised some tips and strategies to get an edge over the other players. There are times that these tips really can help some people win.

Here’s a list of some tips that players may choose to use them so as to win the game.

1. If a player gets 17 or higher, it is always better to stand, and if the player has any number from 13 to 16 and the dealer’s card is 6 or lower, it would be better to stand. But if the dealer has 7 or more, it would be better for a player to hit.

The theory here is that, if the dealer is showing a card of six or lower, the dealer may take a card, assuming that the dealer’s card facing down is a ten. The players, then, assume that the dealer is banking on a bust hand, so the other players have the tendency to maintain a lower card number.

The rule of thumb: players should always assume that the dealer’s down cards is 10.

2. If a player has aces or 8’s, it would be better to split them regardless of the dealer’s showing card.

3. A player should remember not to split 10’s. Chances are, they might end up getting busted.

4. If the dealer is showing 4, 5, or 6, it would be better for a player to stand on hard 12, or hit hard if the dealer is showing 2, 3, 7, or higher.

5. In order to win, players should always remember not to split fours, face cards, and fives.

Indeed, gambling is a game of chance, but with keen observation, winning is possible.

Texas Holdem Poker beginner strategy

The great thing about Texas Holdem Poker is that it is easy to learn.  Even a beginner can quickly develop into a winning player.  By following a sound strategy and playing the best starting hands a Texas Holdem Poker newbie can dramatically shorten the learning curve.  So what are the best hands that a beginner should play?

The best hands for a beginner to play are Ace-Ace, King-King, Queen-Queen, Jack-Jack, Ace-King suited (example – Ace of clubs & King of clubs).

I strongly recommend that you only play these starting hands as a beginner.  In other words, if you are dealt a hand other than one of the above then fold!

Folding is one of the most difficult decisions for a Texas Holdem Poker beginner to do.  The mindset of most Texas Holdem Poker beginners is to hang around and see the flop in the hopes of hitting it just right and improving a hand.

While a beginner will hit the flop and improve their hand occasionally, more often than not they will miss it.  The Texas Holdem Poker beginner player that plays poor starting hands will end up throwing more money away than they will win.

When you are dealt one of the best starting hands I recommend raising the pot which will serve two purposes.  First, it will force players with weak hands to fold instead of allowing them to stay in the game and see the flop for free.

Secondly, by seeing who raises and calls you get to see who feels that they have a good hand and who may be trying to hang in for the flop.

When the flop is dealt you should look carefully to see if you have improved your hand.  Even if you have not improved your hand, because you started out with one of the better hands you may still have the best hand.  This is especially true if your starting hand was a pair of aces or kings.

If your opponents raise back this can be a strong signal that they may have a powerful hand.  Ask yourself, “What could my opponent have?” “Could they have improved their hand?”

Ask yourself these questions after each round of cards are dealt and try to “read” your opponents hand.

If you have a high pair a raise after the flop can help you assess whether your opponents feel if they have a strong hand or not.

If you think you are beaten there is no shame in folding at this point.

When the turn card has been revealed, if you think that you may still have the best hand I would raise the pot so that I could obtain information about my opponents’ hands.

I would follow this same strategy on the river card.

To summarize this basic Texas Holdem Poker beginner strategy:

-    stick to playing the best starting hands
-    fold the bad hands
-    use the power of the raise to knock out weak players and to assess the strength of your opponents hands

By following this Texas Holdem Poker beginner strategy you will start out winning more hands than you lose.  You will start out winning more money than you will lose.

The biggest most anticipated poker tournament for any poker player

The World Series of Poker is the most anticipated and crowning event in the world of poker.  It’s been around for so long and its history has been clouded by its popularity that people tend to forget just how great the WSOP was when it first started. Over the past couple of years, thousands of people have been trying to cash a quick buck off its popularity, and hundreds of web sites have suddenly popped up, but despite all of this the WSOP has been around when poker was considered serious card playing.  It wasn't a fad that was made to be televised into some sort of fashion.  It was quality poker.

Back in the day, men smoked cigars and sipped whisky while eyeing up their opponents.  It was a game made for men like Nicolas Dandolos, commonly referred to as Nick the Greek, and Benny Binion. These two were champion gamblers and poker players back during the 1940s. It was no wonder then when Nick the Greek approached Binion to set up a world class match. Nick challenged the supposed champion of all poker players, Johnny Moss.

Binion agreed to the plan and he set up the match between Dandolos and Moss.  There was one exception though, Binion made sure to attract as much attention to the event as possible by holding it in public. It was to be on public display and seen as a marathon.  After five long months of discussion and compromises, all parties agreed to continue with the match. Thus, the World Series of Poker was born in 1949. It was a grueling event where the players only took breaks to catch up on sleep. Moss came out on top and reportedly took home around $2 million in cash, nearly an entire casino’s worth in 1949.

Nearly 21 years later, Binion decided to try his hand with the WSOP again. It was 1970, and this time he officially deemed it the WSOP. And once again, Johnny Moss did what he does best and walked away with the pot.

By now Binion knew he had something particularly special in the poker world. He continued the World Series of Poker yearly from then on. By 1982, there were 104 top poker players signed up for the WSOP. Now in 2006, at the height of the poker craze, everyone believes he or she is the next gift to poker.  Last year, there were 5,619 people entered into the main event. This year, the numbers are predicted to be over 8,000 entrants.   The size of the WSOP has changed, but the quality has not.  It is the biggest, most anticipated poker tournament for any poker player.

The Blackjack Hall of Fame

From it’s inception in 2003, the Blackjack Hall of Fame has inducted a total of 11 members for their outstanding accomplishments, both at the tables and away from them.

Edward O. Thorp, one of the original Blackjack Hall of Fame members, was a mathematician and scholar, known as the Father of Card Counting by professional players and the general populous alike.  His Ten Count system was first introduced to the world in his 1962 book, “Beat the Dealer”, which was the very first winning blackjack system ever published, not to mention that it was also the first mathematician publication to beat any casino-style gambling game. Every card counting system available today is a derivative of Thorp’s Ten Count system.

Ken Uston, an original inductee, passed away in 1987, years before the Blackjack Hall of Fame was even a thought.  Uston brought the secrets of the big card counting teams mainstream with his book, “The Big Player”, creating a commotion throughout the gaming industry.  After his landmark publication, card counting teams began to generate across the globe.

The inventor of blackjacks’ “team play” is one of the original members of the Hall of Fame- Al Francesca. Francesca was the driving force and mastermind behind Ken Uston and his book, “The Big Player”.

Blackjack researchers have been using the mathematical methods of Peter Griffin, as he was the first to break down any card counting system into two points-the Betting Correlation (BC) and the Playing Efficiency (PE). His book, “The Theory of Blackjack”, along with his many other mathematical papers made him an easy pick for the original Blackjack Hall of Fame lineup.

Stanford Wong, often referred to as the “Godfather of Blackjack”, was an original inductee into the Hall of Fame. The term “wonging” is related to his proven techniques of card counting across the globe. Wong was one of the first to beat the continuous shuffle machines of Las Vegas before they were removed and updated.

Yet another original member of the Blackjack Hall of Fame, Arnold Snyder, was inducted for first to publish what is now common knowledge amongst professional blackjack players; the importance of penetration.  Although he has written many publications on the topic of blackjack, Snyder refrains from publishing much of what he has learned to allow current players the opportunities to play and win.

While still in college, Tommy Hyland began playing professional blackjack, and has been for over 25 years.  He is the leading man in the longest running and most successful blackjack team in the entire world. Adored by his peers and despised by casino owners, Tommy has made his mark in the blackjack world and is an original inductee into the Hall of Fame.

2004 and the Blackjack Ball brought Keith Taft to the Hall of Fame, complete with a photo album featuring a variety of gadgets and such that he invented to aid in the casino beating process, with his primary focus always on blackjack. Taft credits his son, Marty, for the two were an unbeatable team since Marty was a teenager.

Max Rubin is the author of “Comp City”, a publication aimed at beating the Blackjack tables of Las Vegas even without mastering the art of counting cards. Rubin is the other Hall of Fame’s inductee for 2004.

The 2005 Blackjack Ball brought with it two new inductees into the Blackjack Hall of Fame, one being Julian Brown, an IBM computer programmer became captivated with the mathematics involved in blackjack. In the 1960’s Brown wrote to Edward O. Thorp and requested a copy of the blackjack computer program.  Since Brown had access to some of the fastest computers available, he worked diligently to produce an improved program, resulting in the creation of Hi-Opt blackjack and Hi-Lo strategies.  Most of today’s blackjack experts have built upon the work of Julian Brown.

2005’s second inductee is none other that Lawrence Revere, a card shark and hustler who created a series of amazingly simple, color coded charts and such so that anyone could understand.  Revere is considered to be the man who brought blackjack to the average player.

The professional hole-carder’s bible, “Beyond Counting”, was authored by none other than James Grosjean, thus sealing his fate as the 2006 Blackjack Hall of Fame inductee.  Although every tactic used by Grosjean was legal at the time, he was ridiculed and arrested for his practices.  In turn, he sued Caesars and Imperial Palace for wrongful arrest, as well as the Griffin Detective Agency, forcing them into bankruptcy, paving the way to stop libeling professional gamblers.

How to deal with casino bonuses?

Online casinos have been flooding the online world lately.  It seems that they have been trying very hard in attracting more and more players to try their luck at online casinos. They have been have been trying to think up of different offers to catch a potential player’s attention. One such promotion is offering different types of casino bonuses to get people into playing on their online casinos.

Casino bonuses are offers being given by online casinos that would enable a player to avail of bonus betting money to wager on the several casino games being offered. The amount may differ for different online casinos. Some may give out 25 to 50 dollar bonuses for a minimum bet. There are even some online casinos that can offer a 100 percent match bonus for every deposit that the player makes. This means that if the player deposits $100 o his account, the online casino will match that amount in full, making the player acquire $200 initial betting money on his account. There are also other casinos offering bonuses next to nothing, just to have people have a taste of playing online and possibly have them hooked to play some more later on.

Although you might think that this is easy money on your part, there are certain requirements that you have to follow in order to cash in on your proceeds. Online casinos have established these requirements as a safeguard to possible abusers of their offer. One of the usual requirements is that a player should wager at least 25 times the amount of deposit and bonus before being able to cash in. There are some games like baccarat, craps, roulette and even blackjack that do not count in meeting the required wagering provisions.

Casino bonuses can really attract players into getting started on online betting. They seem to want to avail of the extra amount being offered that would provide them with more betting money. It has made many people turn into regular online players and has done well for the online casinos. But there are also some people who have taken advantage of this offer in order to cash in on casino bonuses. These players, otherwise known as “bonus hunters”, take full advantage of the offered casino bonuses by opting to cash in on their winnings after all the betting provisions are met. Whether players may like it or not, these actions are strictly prohibited by the online casinos because it has been part of their conditions that players may only play for recreational purposes only. Online casinos are always on the lookout for bonus hunters. When caught, their promotional privileges are usually revoked.

If you do not want to be labeled as a bonus hunter and have your online privileges revoked, there are certain things that you should avoid. First of all, you should refrain from maintaining multiple accounts when playing in an online casino. Also try not to cash out on your winning before fulfilling the casino’s wagering requirement. You should also try to gamble normally. A sudden increase in the amount that you bet may make the casino throw a red flag at you. And last but not the least, make sure that you have the proper credit information given and avoid having irregularities on your credit card. Wrongful information may compel casinos to bar you from playing on their site and deny you the privilege of availing casino bonuses.

Some advice on how to play blackjack

When I first started showing interest a few years back in playing blackjack, a friend of mine gave me a list of tips and unofficial personal rules; where he got them from I have no idea, but I more or less stuck to them and they served me well, so I figured the time has come to share the wisdom a little.

Choose a low minimum bet table: 5% of your bankroll is around the max that you want to be betting per hand, so playing at a  table with a minimum that exceeds that percentage is asking for trouble. The danger is that with a high minimum table you run the risk of loosing your bankroll before without opportunities to regain lost revenue.

Never split 10s: it may be tempting to play the two hands, but 20 isn't far off from 21, so be happy with what you have!

5s Never, 8s Always: a pair of 5s should never be split but a pair of 8s should be split in all circumstances except for when the dealer is showing a 10.

Always split Aces: getting a blackjack is, as they say, the name of the game, so splitting aces gives you two chances to do just that.

Stick on 17; no matter what your gut says, just stick with what you have. Bear in mind that the dealer has to stick on 17, plus if you think even for a second about the number of cards in the deck and how much they add up to you will soon realize that the chances of getting a 4 or less are much lower than the chances of getting a 5 or more - just don't do it!

The fewer decks in use the better the odds are for the player; the biggest leap in the house advantage is between one and two decks, but it does rise, all be it less steeply, with every deck added. Therefore, in a choice between a single deck and multi deck game, always go for the single deck; in a choice between a 6 deck game and an 8 deck game, always go for the 6 deck.

Rules vary from table to table, so the more player-friendly rules a table plays by the better it is for you. Specific rules to look out for are, the surrender rule; double down after splitting pairs; multiple pair splitting; and ace re-splits.

Remember that you're only opponent is the dealer, so don't look at anyone else's hand, it's not your business and it will distract you from your game.

The rest of the advice I received was basic common sense and money management; don't bet anything you're not prepared to loose, set limits, don't gamble when drunk, you know the type. Anyway, I hope these tips will be as useful to you as they were to me.
